Flight Simulator Multiple Monitors – Beyond the Horizon in 2024:
So, you’ve mastered the art of virtual aviation, but something’s missing – that extra dimension that makes you feel like you’re truly soaring among the clouds. Fear not, fellow aviators, because we’re about to dive into the mesmerizing world of the best flight simulator setups with multiple monitors. Buckle up; it’s time to take your flight simulation experience to new heights!
The Panoramic Playground:
Picture this: You’re cruising at 30,000 feet, and instead of staring at a single screen, you have a panoramic view that stretches across multiple monitors. The cockpit details are crystal clear, the landscapes are sprawling, and you’re immersed in a world that goes beyond the limits of a single display. That’s the magic of a flight simulator setup with multiple monitors.
Why Multiple Monitors?
Sure, a single monitor can get the job done, but why settle for the basics when you can elevate your flight simulation experience to a whole new level? Here’s why multiple monitors are a game-changer for virtual pilots:
Wider Field of View: Multiple monitors create a seamless panoramic view, giving you a wider field of vision. Spotting that distant runway or navigating through challenging weather becomes not just possible but downright exhilarating.
Realistic Cockpit Experience: Say goodbye to the confined feeling of a single-screen cockpit. With multiple monitors, you can replicate the expansive view of a real aircraft cockpit, allowing you to interact with your instruments and surroundings with unparalleled realism.
Enhanced Immersion: Immerse yourself in the world of aviation like never before. Multiple monitors make you feel like you’re inside the cockpit, surrounded by the vastness of the sky. It’s not just a game; it’s a breathtaking experience.
Better Situational Awareness: Spotting other aircraft, monitoring instruments, and navigating become more intuitive with a setup that mirrors the natural way our eyes scan the environment. It’s not just eye candy; it’s a practical advantage.
The Ultimate Setup: What You Need:
Now that you’re sold on the idea of multiple monitors, let’s break down what you need to build the ultimate flight simulator setup:
Graphics Powerhouse: To handle the increased workload of multiple monitors, you need a graphics card that’s up to the challenge. Aim for a high-end GPU from NVIDIA or AMD to ensure smooth visuals and optimal performance.
Monitor Trio: The more, the merrier! Invest in three identical monitors for a seamless experience. Opt for models with thin bezels to minimize distractions and create a unified display.
Mounting System: Keep those monitors in check with a sturdy mounting system. Whether it’s a desk clamp or a dedicated monitor stand, make sure it can handle the weight and provide the flexibility to angle your screens for the perfect view.
Powerful PC: A high-performance gaming PC is the backbone of your flight simulation setup. Choose a rig with a robust processor, ample RAM, and a fast SSD to ensure smooth operation.
Flight Simulator Software: Of course, you’ll need the star of the show – a top-notch Flight Simulator. Whether you prefer Microsoft Flight Simulator, X-Plane, or another favorite, make sure it supports multiple monitors for an immersive experience.

Someone close to me it’s a gamer but I don’t know if they still are and my younger sibling as well. They would love to have these screens as gifts.
I am not well informed on the topic but these screens look amazing and the size is not that big either. It will fit perfect in my sister’s room.
Thanks for sharing.
Yes the screen can fit in your sister room. Just make sure you have big table so the screen can fit.
Is this multimonitor screen durable for all kinds of work or it’s only for flight simulators? Which one of them listed here in the article would you recommend the most? And also one more question, since you are an expert for flight simulators, is it suitable for both beginners and experienced tech savvies?
These are gaming monitor screen and it is suitable for work and any games including Flight Simulator. I would recommend the curved monitor screen because it is comfortable for the eyes. Sure it can be suitable for beginners but setting up three monitor screen is a bit complicated.
Hey there!
I really like this article. This is by far my favorite set up with a multi-screen view. I like having the real expansive experience you are able to get with greater visibility with a multi screen set up. It seems like you can see much clearer and have more realism when using the flight simulation programs.
L, Sammy
Thanks.
This seems pretty expensive. My siblings absolutely love to game so I will be sure to share this article with them. I am sure that they will go and get all the monitors they need right away haha. I will let you know if they found this article interesting or not.
Thanks for the feedback.
Yeah, I think that it couldn’t be more accurate. As far as a flight simulator goes, having multiple monitors versus just one is a massive difference in terms of immersion. I mean, with a proper monitor setup, it can feel like sitting in an actual cockpit and looking out the windows, and doing whatever needs doing in terms of flying. To that end, I think a multiple monitor setup prepares you for real-life unforeseen situations much better. After playing around with simulation of that caliber of immersion, doing the real thing becomes much more intuitive I think. Because let’s be real. At first, the simulations are as close as you’re going to be getting to the real thing.
I loved those monitor suggestions. Personally, since I have an Asus, too, I was looking at those Asus options. And they look dope. I appreciate the suggestions. 🙂
Thanks for the great feedback. Yes multiple monitors will make u feel you are in a real cockpit.
Hey there. Thank you very much for this post. I have been trying to figure out which would be the correct height for me. After carrying several tests, I feel satisfied with my setup. I also liked the SAMSUNG LC24F396, and it’s my number one recommendation for anybody serious about Flight Simulators.
Thanks for the feedback and I appreciate it. It is recommended to get a curved monitor as it is good for the eyes.
Hello MElamin,
There are many benefits of using a flight simulator with multiple monitors. One of the main benefits is that it can help you get used to flying in different types of aircraft, which will be helpful when you fly in real life. Another benefit is that it can help your spatial awareness and orientation skills, which is very important for pilots.
I can see clearly that In the past, flight simulators were designed to mimic a single monitor. However, as technology advanced and monitors became larger, pilots needed more screens to fly with. There are now many different types of monitors that can be used for the best experience.
I really think to buy one for my son at least there is opportunity to be pilot nor playing online gaming only. lol
Have great weekend.
It is good to set up multiple monitors for better flying experience. You will feel you are like turning right or left or going up and down.
I saw a movie once (I don’t remember the name) in which something happened to the pilot and co-pilot so there was no one to fly the plane. A young man comes forward and says he has all these hours of flight time so he gets behind the wheel. When the time comes to land, he says he doesn’t know how. Why? Because all his flight hours were in a video game. Haha!
I can see how using multiple monitors would really improve the experience of using a flight simulator as you can angle (as shown in the first picture) to mimic an airplane window. Getting one of the curved monitors you show would only increase that experience!
That was really interesting story. It is recommended to get a curved monitors as it is good for the eyes and still make flying experience better.
Hello, thank you so much for this article.
Really loved the multi-screen view, it looks more realistic than one curved monitor.
It is really useful not only for flight simulators but also to improving gaming experience in other types of games. I will share this article with my gamer friends, thank you very much!
Thank you for the feedback. Yes Multiple Monitors makes you feel like you are flying in real aircraft and also good for the eyes.

Thanks for the feedback. I believe three monitors are enough for good flight sim experience.
It was a great read. My setup is a far cry from the multiple monitor setups that you wrote about, but it would be interesting to keep for future upgrades. I am in the Asus camp and I have a VG249 single monitor, which I couple with my LG smart TV (48′) when I work on something that includes multitasking or fly simulators. For gaming, I only use the LG TV. But the 3 monitor setup that you write about here – three ASUS ROG Strix XG279Q 27-inch monitors would be the best setup for me.
Thanks for the feedback and you should switch to curved monitors because it is good for the eyes.
