How to Explore cities:
To explore your city, open the Flight Simulator program, then you need to select the airport in your city where you want to fly. My suggestion is to choose small aircraft like Cessna or Beechcraft because it will be more fun, but there are varieties of other small aircraft to select, and you can also use a helicopter to fly around the city. Fly the plane at a reasonable speed to explore the world properly at your own pace.
Once you select the airport, wait for the game to download and start exploring, fly around the city to see the roads, buildings, parks, mountains nearby, and landscape. Explore the city day or night, but a day will be more fun. You can pause the game and take a screenshot or look around. You don’t have to explore the city where you live in and select any airport in the world where you can explore other cities. Air traffic can be disabled if you don’t want to get bothered while flying or fly in rural areas.
Cities I flew over(virtual exploring):
In North America, USA, I flew over New York City to see the Empire State Building and Statue of liberty, and in San Francisco, I flew over and saw the Golden Gate Bridge and downtown.
While in Hawaii, I saw the mountain and the Island. In my opinion, the best place to explore is Hawaii because it is stunning and views the pacific ocean.
I flew around Rio De Janeiro and Sao Paulo in Brazil. In Rio De Janeiro, I saw the mountains, buildings, sugarloaf mountain, boats, ships, and beaches, and in Sao Paulo, I saw the buildings and the city is sprawling, in Africa, I flew over Cairo city, Egypt, where I can see the Pyramids and Sphinx, in Asia and Oceania I flew over Hong Kong where I viewed the tall buildings, and in Australia, I flew over Sydney to see the city.
I was using Flight Simulator X, and I selected small aircraft for virtual exploring because it is easier to control and it is not as fast as large aircraft.
When I played Flight Simulator 2002 a long time ago, it was boring because there were no many 3D buildings, the landscape and terrain were very low in quality, so I did not explore much of the world unless I fly to big cities in the United States and Europe. The aircraft and the graphics were not as detailed as Flight Simulator X. I decided to uninstall Microsoft Flight Simulator 2002.
